JAKARTA – Korindo Foundation recently assisted state-run health campaign Kampung Siaga TBC as part of a collective effort to prevent and mitigate tuberculosis in Pancoran District, South Jakarta.
This assistance entailed 50 nutrition kits for tuberculosis (TB) patients registered at the Pancoran District puskesmas (state-run public health clinic). The kits, which contained essential food items, aimed to help beneficiaries meet nutritional needs throughout treatment and eventually recover.
The distribution ceremony was attended by district and subdistrict government officials, Pancoran District’s puskesmas team, local community members, and Korindo Foundation representatives at the Duren Tiga Subdistrict office hall, Tuesday (7/28/2026).
Korindo Foundation’s participation — enabled through the Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) program — reflects its support for better community health, said the Foundation’s General Manager, Setiyono.
“We provide patients with nutrition kits to help them with treatment and encourage recovery,” Setiyono added. “We hope this synergy with the government, healthcare workers, and local communities will grow stronger.”
In the same spirit, Pancoran District’s vice leader Muhammad Arief Amien said multi-stakeholder involvement and collaboration are integral to good TB control.
“We can’t solve TB [tuberculosis] alone. Besides medication, patients need proper nutrition so they can get better.”

This education session strengthens the combined efforts of district and subdistrict governments, the Pancoran District puskesmas, and Korindo Foundation to drive greater public awareness of TB mitigation measures
Kampung Siaga TBC was introduced to drive greater public awareness of TB symptoms, screening for the disease, as well as family and community support during the recuperation process.
“Through Kampung Siaga TBC, we hope to help people identify early signs [of TB], get promptly treated, and follow through [with the process] until they fully heal. We’re grateful to the Korindo Foundation for their continued collaborative support of health initiatives,” said dr. Sri Lenita, who leads the Pancoran District puskesmas.
This campaign aligns with the TOSS TB movement (Temukan TBC, Obati Sampai Sembuh), which seeks to detect and treat tuberculosis until completion. In addition to aiding patients with finishing their medication, TOSS TB also advocates for immediate testing once symptoms arise.
As a complementary initiative, Kampung Siaga TBC is expected to improve public understanding that TB patients should be supported, not stigmatized. There’s also a need for ongoing collaboration to deepen prevention, detection, patient support, and disease control efforts in the Pancoran area. (PR)
