JAKARTA – Korindo Foundation and the Pancoran Community Health Center (Puskesmas) distributed 25 Phase 4 Nutrition Kits, marking the final phase of the Sentuh Bumil (Touch Pregnant Women) program series on Wednesday (Sept 30, 2026). The Nutrition Kit is a care package containing healthy food and milk, aimed at preventing stunting during the First 1,000 Days of Life, commencing during pregnancy.
Nevertheless, the Nutrition Kits are not intended to be a standalone solution. This assistance complements the ongoing efforts of healthcare professionals through prenatal check-ups, nutritional status monitoring, and education on a balanced, nutritious diet.
The beneficiaries of the Nutrition Kits were determined based on specific health criteria, including pregnant women experiencing or at risk of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED). This assessment considered Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) measurements alongside other health conditions to ensure the assistance was accurately targeted.
“We extend our gratitude to the Korindo Foundation for their support in assisting pregnant women. Through comprehensive monitoring, we can observe the health condition and nutritional status of expectant mothers, including those at risk of CED based on indicators such as MUAC. The success rate of this program is demonstrated by a 95% increase in MUAC and a 95% increase in body weight among participating pregnant women,” stated the Head of Pancoran Puskesmas, Dr. Sri Lenita, MARS.
The four-phase distribution of the Nutrition Kits forms part of the ongoing commitment by Korindo Foundation and Pancoran Puskesmas to prevent stunting through nutritional support, assistance, and education for pregnant women. This initiative aims to foster the birth of a healthy generation with optimal growth.

“Stunting prevention is not solely the responsibility of the government or healthcare workers. It requires strengthened collaboration from various stakeholders to ensure early and sustainable assistance for pregnant women. We highly appreciate Korindo Foundation for consistently contributing and delivering benefits, particularly within the Pancoran area,” stated the Head of Pancoran Sub-district, Iqbal Idram Ramid.
Meanwhile, the General Manager of Korindo Foundation, Setiyono, emphasized that the collaboration with Pancoran Puskesmas aligns with the Foundation’s steadfast commitment to supporting maternal and child health.
“We hope this collaboration provides tangible benefits for pregnant women while simultaneously supporting early stunting prevention efforts. We are also grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this initiative. Observing the substantial positive outcomes indicates that the Sentuh Bumil program is highly effective and capable of reducing stunting rates in the Pancoran Sub-district,” Setiyono remarked.
For Korindo Foundation, the partnership with Pancoran Puskesmas represents a firm commitment to the healthcare sector, ensuring that assistance is precisely targeted based on needs identified by medical professionals. (PR)
