JAKARTA – Amid the dense urban setting of North Jakarta, the productive community space at Kampung Bayam Madani remains an economic epicenter for local residents. Here, residents belonging to the Kampung Bayam Farmers Group cultivate agricultural land, manage fish ponds, and lead various collaborative activities.
Muhammad Furqon, Chairman of the Kampung Bayam Madani Farmers Group, emphasized that their agricultural activities extend beyond crop yields, representing a vital effort to preserve their living environment.
“Nature and humanity must work in synergy. As farmers, we play a crucial role in safeguarding the environment and local ecosystems. Through the support received in the previous phase, we successfully constructed fish ponds and completed a communal kitchen. Step by step, we are also enhancing this area to make our harvests more productive and beneficial for the community,” Furqon stated.
Nevertheless, residents continue to encounter challenges regarding crop maintenance and product distribution. Fortunately, operational obstacles that previously constrained Kampung Bayam Madani are now being effectively addressed thanks to external assistance.

The need for distribution infrastructure at Kampung Bayam Madani was answered through Phase II of the Korindo Green Sponsorship, officially presented on Wednesday (September 9, 2026).
“In this second phase, the support will be allocated toward purchasing a three-wheeled transport vehicle to assist us in delivering harvested produce to sales points, making distribution significantly easier and more efficient,” Furqon explained, adding that the sponsorship enables the group to focus more on land management and operational development.
Setiyono, General Manager of the Korindo Foundation, noted that the continuation of the program was inspired by the community’s serious dedication to managing the initial assistance.
“Over the past year, we observed tremendous enthusiasm from the residents, alongside prudent management of the resources provided. Consequently, we are pleased to proceed with Phase II of the Green Sponsorship,” Setiyono remarked.
For the residents of Kampung Bayam, their productive endeavors—encompassing fish farming, the communal kitchen, crop cultivation, and agricultural yields—form an integral part of establishing a functional green space.
