CIKARANG – On Friday (2/6), Korindo Foundation shared some tips on building better soft skills with the Hanuri Edukasi Centre in Cikarang, West Java.

The working world has grown more competitive in recent years, with multiple generations of workers now inhabiting the labor force. It demands adaptability and bravery to move past comfort zones, said the head of Korindo Foundation’s Learning & Innovation Center (LIC), Setiyono.

“The corporate world requires adaptability and a willingness to step outside comfort zones. Here’s where 5Cs come in — by Crack[ing] Your Cocoon, Collecting Dots, Connecting Dots, Create[ing] Your Idea, and Creatively Selling Your Idea, anyone can move beyond [passive] job searching and begin to create added value [for themselves].”

This insight-sharing session is part of Korindo Foundation’s Bina Pelajar Sponsorship program, which has continued to provide financial support, soft skill development, and mental preparedness training in its third year of partnership with Hanuri Edukasi Centre.

Speaking at this session was LIC’s Ine Nurul Rachmi, who later engaged participants in a knowledge exchange and public speaking exercise. Both activities were designed to build social intelligence, professionalism, and integrity, the prerequisites for entering the workplace.

Hanuri students also participated in an impromptu interview that offered a glimpse of hiring expectations and standards for fresh graduates.

3D Design major Destara said she learned a lot from the event. “I’ve learned so much — good interview techniques, how to boost soft skills, and how to develop our abilities so that companies will be the ones looking [and not the other way around].”

Administration major Siti added, “It’s a fun activity, and we get to learn new things and gain new insight. I hope Korindo Foundation and Hanuri Edukasi Centre continue to work together and pave the way for a generation of current- and future-ready talents.”

The Foundation thus reaffirmed its commitment to people development and cemented its role as a key partner in building competencies, adaptability, and integrity to support industrial needs for job-ready individuals.

The Bina Pelajar Sponsorship Program funds mentoring and development for high school and vocational high school graduates who undergo up to six months of intensive training at Hanuri. Each training batch consists of 30 people, who will later enter a recruitment process conducted by Hanuri’s partner companies. (Korindo Foundation)
