JAKARTA – Korindo Group was named a province-level Mitra Bhakti Husada winner at the state-run safety and health festival Gebyar K3 Bidang Kesehatan on Monday (9/14/2026). The event held at the Jakarta City Hall saw the multi-industry giant excel in the office safety and health (K3) category.

This award was granted in recognition of Korindo Group’s efforts to implement K3 principles and ensure safe, healthy workplaces.

Not only that, the company was nominated based on its impactful work with the Pancoran District’s puskesmas (community health center). Through a wide range of initiatives — health education, prenatal stunting prevention measures, tuberculosis “villages” (Kampung Siaga TBC), posyandu (maternal and child health services) support — Korindo Group has been actively improving the lives of local communities.

“This award is an impressive achievement and a driving force for us to refine our K3 practices as we build a safety-first culture at Korindo Group,” said General Manager Sango Ha.

Mitra Bhakti Husada features five categories: hospital K3, healthcare facility K3, supervisory puskesmas for integrated occupational health services posts (Pos Upaya Kesehatan Kerja), office K3, and Healthy Productive Women Workers Movement (GP2SP).

Korindo Group ranked first in office K3, followed by PT Toyota Astra Motor and PT SGS. All winners were chosen through a multi-tier, impartial judging process that involved multiple stakeholders.

This process assessed nominees based on management commitment, policies, K3 programs, risk factor management, preventive and promotive measures, employee engagement, and the continuity of safety practices, in addition to submission document completion.

“Through Mitra Bhakti Husada, we recognize the commitment and best practices demonstrated by all winners and participants, including institutions, managements, and leaders, to protect employee safety and health. We hope these awards will motivate you all to maintain or improve your performance,” said Ali Maulana Hakim, the Assistant for Public Welfare at the Jakarta Regional Secretariat.

At the event, Ali also spoke about key focuses to strengthen K3 systems. These span from risk identification, safety procedure improvements, protective equipment provision, to proper K3 education.

Healthy work environments are characterized by physical safety, a sense of security, psychological support, and open channels of communication. To ensure equal access to K3 services and protection, Ali saw the need to reinforce safeguards for informal and vulnerable workers.

Companies’ commitment to safety and health must be reflected in the policies, budgeting decisions, oversight, and day-to-day behavior of executives and staff members, added Ali. Here, leaders play a crucial role as example setters in cultivating a safety culture.

The state official concluded his speech by promoting the use of data and technology to drive better understanding of risks, recording and reporting of incidents, program evaluation, and decision-making. (PR)
