JAKARTA – Korindo Foundation is back to show its support for local education with its scholarship program for college overachievers. This year, around 30 students from five universities became the lucky recipients, with 12 from Indonesia University of Education (UPI) and National University (UNAS).
Korindo Foundation began its awarding ceremonies for the five universities on Tuesday (9/22/2026), starting with UPI in Bandung. The scholarships were provided to six Korean Language and Culture majors, and to six other students at UNAS the next day (9/23/2026).
This initiative is part of the Foundation’s efforts to help improve the quality of local manpower and build youth competencies.
Korindo Foundation’s Secretary-General, Sunghoon Lee, said education is instrumental in opening future opportunities for young Indonesians.
“Our scholarship program, which partners with local universities, reflects our belief that education lays the groundwork for a better future,” Lee added. “We hope what we provide can encourage students to finish their studies successfully, accomplish goals, and make their parents and teachers proud.”
An awardee from UPI, Allisya Nur Azharia, expressed her gratitude for the educational support.
“This scholarship motivates us to continue learning and improving our Korean skills. We thank the Korindo Foundation for the opportunity and support that allow us to reach our dreams.”

Sharing this sentiment was Rannan Putri Salsabila from UNAS, who also hoped for the program’s continuation to ensure benefits for current and future high-achievers.
“I’m deeply grateful for the scholarship provided by Korindo Foundation. This means a great deal to me, because it will help alleviate college costs, especially UKT (tuition fees). I hope this program continues so that more students have the chance to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.”
Besides UPI and UNAS, Korindo Foundation’s scholarships were also granted to six students each from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Universitas Indonesia (UI), and IPB University.
The awardees are expected to make good use of this opportunity and build the knowledge and skills to improve lives and advance national development. (PR)
