JAKARTA – On Tuesday (8/26), Korindo Group organized a high-school-level physics quiz bowl for the Pancoran area. This CSC initiative aimed to encourage academic interest, curiosity, and competitiveness among local youth.
Physics was chosen for its foundational knowledge, one that explains natural phenomena and predates modern technology. This subject enables students to practice logic and scientific reasoning while refining their systematic problem-solving skills.
“The technology we use today, as well as its future developments, wouldn’t be available without science and physics. While this subject may be daunting for some, anyone can grasp and master all the concepts with perseverance. We want to tap into this potential in students and encourage them to make achievements in the field,” said Korindo Foundation’s general manager Setiyono.
The competition was buzzing with excitement, with contestants eagerly answering questions throughout. After several rounds, the 55 Jakarta Public High (SMA Negeri 55 Jakarta) team secured first place, followed by Perguruan Cikini High (SMA Perguruan Cikini) and Fatahillah High (SMA Fatahillah) in second and third place.

“We’ve done a lot of preparations to win this game, from extra study sessions to practice rounds. We’re really grateful our hard work earned us the top spot,” said El Kamil, a member of the 55 Jakarta Public High team.
