Last year, over 700,000 cases of TB were found in Indonesia (Health Ministry), putting the country in third place in terms of incidence, or after India and China.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In South Jakarta alone, this disease has infected up to 8,276 people. With numbers remaining high, Korindo Foundation worked with Jakarta\u2019s Health Service and Pancoran\u2019s subdistrict and urban village governments on \u201cGetting Ready to Combat Tuberculosis\u201d, a health seminar for the local community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) program [the seminar] is our contribution to the TB fight. We hope our female audience, Family Empowerment and Welfare (FEW) members, can share their takeaways from this event with the people around them,\u201d said Korindo Foundation\u2019s General Manager, Setiyono.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The seminar took place at Pancoran subdistrict office hall on Tuesday (8\/29), attended by representatives of the local subdistrict, urban villages, <em>puskesmas <\/em>(public health clinics), <em>posyandu<\/em>s (integrated health posts), FEW groups, and neighborhood youth organizations.
