Korindo Foundation representatives handed over medical aid to posyandu cadres in Pancoran Subdistrict, South Jakarta (Tuesday, 2\/6)<\/p><\/div>\n

JAKARTA \u2013 <\/strong>Under a program called \u201cKorindo Bina Posyandu\u201d, Korindo Foundation distributed medical aid to Pancoran Subdistrict posyandus<\/em> (integrated health posts providing pre- and post-natal care) in South Jakarta Tuesday (2\/6). This aid included baby weighing machines and thermometers.<\/p>\n

Sri Lestari was present during the handover. The posyandu <\/em>cadre said how posyandu<\/em> assistance is very much needed \u201cbut not many are paying attention to it, including the private sector\u201d. This is despite posyandu<\/em>\u2019s position as an accessible health facility for the general public, mainly mothers and children.<\/p>\n

“There aren’t many companies that do these things [medical donations for posyandus<\/em>], let alone care for toddlers. Thank you Korindo, I hope we can collaborate in future programs,\u201d Sri added during her interview with the PR team.<\/p>\n

\u201cKorindo Bina Posyandu\u201d is an annual program in Korindo Foundation. It is also part of Korindo Group\u2019s health Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) activities and commitment to help the government improve community health. Doing this will allow the people to grow and make real things happen.<\/p>\n

The handover ceremony was attended by Korindo Foundation\u2019s general secretary Seo Jeong Sik, Pancoran subdistrict head Alamsah, local urban village heads, and posyandu <\/em>cadres.<\/p>\n

Seo shared how posyandu<\/em> plays a key role in community life, and that is why Korindo Group pays extra attention to this institution.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re aware that posyandus<\/em> have an important part in maternal and child health quality improvement, and [for that] we are appreciative of the state\u2019s efforts, especially Pancoran Subdistrict\u2019s, to provide a medical facility for mothers and children.\u201d<\/p>\n

For its contribution, Korindo has received praise from Alamsah himself, who considered the donation program \u201creal-life proof\u201d of how crucial public-private collaborations are. The more private sector is involved in state health programs, the more people can be helped, he said.<\/p>\n

This program is a demonstration of Korindo\u2019s attention to the health of communities around its operational sites. It benefits the people through toddler health monitoring and also disseminations on child development, which raises public health awareness.
