YOGYAKARTA On Friday (9/26), Korindo Foundation’s General Manager Setiyono delivered a public lecture on behalf of the institution at the Yogyakarta Agricultural Community Academy (AKPY-STIPER).

“Unlock Your Potential – Building Self-Excellence” was attended by 300 freshman students majoring in Oil Palm Maintenance, Oil Palm Propagation, Oil Palm Cultivation, and Oil Palm Processing.

It encouraged the audience to recognize and develop their potential for employment.

Setiyono also talked about honing strengths and having the belief that everyone has a chance for success.

“Make sure to gain as much knowledge as you can during your studies. Doing this will equip you for future success,” he said in his greetings.

Later, Korindo Foundation representatives met with BPDPKS scholarship recipients at the academy to provide moral support. (BPDPKS is short for Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency, now known as BPDP.)

Five Papuan students have been sent to AKPY-STIPER this year by the agency through a scholarship partnership with palm oil company Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group.

They will be studying in different areas of specialization in oil palm plantation management.

But before that, a nine-day mental and physical training was held for them and the rest of AKPY-STIPER’s new students at the 474 Kunta Wijayandanu Air Defense Detachment (Yogyakarta) and STIPER Edu Agro Tourism Research and Learning Farm (Ungaran, Central Java). This workshop was aimed at building the discipline and resilience needed to tackle the future work environment.
