JAKARTA – Last Wednesday (6/25), Korindo Foundation launched nutrition kits and a health seminar at the Pancoran Subdistrict puskesmas (state-run clinic) to support a nationwide stunting reduction effort.

This seminar aimed to educate expecting first-time mothers and pregnant women in general on balanced nutrition and its critical role in stunting prevention. Dozens of audience members learned about healthy eating patterns, regular antenatal check-ups, and the effects of maternal nutrition on fetal growth from expert speakers.

Onwards, these women will be assisted on their pregnancy journey with the nutrition kits, which Korindo Foundation plans to roll out for six months. These kits are loaded with enough ingredients to cover their daily nutrient requirements, like milk.

Both the seminar and food packages are initiatives that demonstrate a commitment to helping the government ensure better stunting control and the development of a “Golden Generation”.

“Today, we’re holding a seminar to address stunting, which continues to be a nationwide problem with a dire need for attention. We’re also giving nutrition kits, which we’ll continue to provide over the next six months. We hope our partnership [with the puskesmas] continues to impact people,” said Korindo Foundation’s General Manager Setiyono.

Puskesmas leader dr. Sri Lenita praised Korindo Foundation’s move, which, to her, aligns with a state program seeking to lower stunting rates faster.

“[To me], it shows how solutions don’t solely lie with the government, but with all members of the society through collaborative efforts, like that of today with Korindo Foundation. With this awareness, we hope this contribution benefits the mothers and their future babies while paving the way towards the birth of a healthier, smarter generation. May this step bring us closer to Indonesia’s vision of the Golden Generation.”

The cross-sectoral synergy allows Korindo Foundation to encourage socially impactful projects that accurately address the health needs of local communities. (PR)
