JAKARTA – Multi-sector corporation Korindo Group gains acclaim for its role in Indonesia’s economic development. However, the company is also known for its social and humanitarian efforts, like a recent qurban donation to Pancoran Subdistrict for this Eid al-Adha. Eight goats were delivered by Korindo to eight musallahs (Islamic prayer spaces) in eight urban villages within the South Jakarta region.
These musallahs included Baitul Islah Musallah (West Cikoko), At-Taubah Musallah (Duren Tiga), Al-Ikhlas Musallah and Daruttaubah Musallah (Pengadegan), At Taqwa Musallah and An-Najaat Musallah (Pancoran), Daarushshobirin Musallah (Rawajati), and Nurul Iman Musallah (Kalibata).
Through Korindo Foundation’s community programs, the company strengthens its bond with the surrounding residents while participating in local Islamic traditions. This donation is part of its commitment to ensuring a harmonious social life for the Indonesian society.
“Korindo has been actively involved in community training [and empowerment] for Pancoran and its adjacent areas. The company donates qurban animals and a little while back, taught people entrepreneurship at the Pengadegan Tailor Shop. We hope Korindo’s presence continues to bring good things and these sacrificial animals become a blessing for us all. We are very grateful for the company’s assistance,” said Pengadegan’s RW (Community Unit) 08 leader Ali Masyhar.
Foundation representative Agung Cahyanto said they would continue playing their part in supporting useful social initiatives. “We’re happy and grateful as well for the chance to make another positive contribution on this year’s Eid al-Adha,” he stated at the handover ceremony.
